We are seeking a Senior Resolution Planning Officer to join the Resolution Planning & Banking Regulation Unit.

 

By joining this role, you’ll be part of the Resolution Planning & Banking Regulation Unit that has a coordinating role for resolution planning projects and initiatives. It constitutes the Bank’s primary link with the Single Resolution Board (“SRB”) and the Resolution Unit of Bank of Greece (BoG). Additionally, the Unit provides support and advice with respect to regulatory issues, particularly large scale, complex regulatory developments, for the Group to meet the regulatory requirements and deadlines.

 

Unit’s responsibilities include, among others, project management and coordination of various resolvability projects (e.g. MREL planning, resolution dry-runs, Bail-in Playbook, Business Reorganization Plan, Transfer Playbooks, operational continuity in resolution), as well as monitoring of regulatory developments in banking and preparation of reports and analyses for the Bank’s senior management.

 

As a Senior Resolution Planning Officer, you will contribute to activities that ensure the Bank meets its resolvability requirements under the SRB’s framework. You’ll take ownership of resolution reporting and be responsible for the development of resolution documents and the execution of resolution exercises/projects. Also, you will liaise/interact with the Bank’s subsidiaries abroad and oversee their compliance with resolvability requirements.

 

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Perform end-to-end project management (coordination, preparation, submission) of resolution planning templates submitted to the SRB/BoG.
  • Coordinate the development/update of resolution deliverables (e.g. Bail-in Playbook, FMI Contingency Plan) and contribute to the Group’s initiatives to address the SRB’s “Expectations for Banks”.
  • Contribute to the update of the Group Recovery Plan and the execution of relevant dry-runs.
  • Liaise with the SRB/NRA and participate in relevant workshops.
  • Monitor the European regulatory framework for banks and prepare relevant information memos.
  • Implement appropriate assurance processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

 

 

You will be a great candidate for us if you:

  • Have at least 3 years of relevant professional experience in banks, consulting firms, regulatory authorities or in similar areas. Specific experience in the areas of resolution and recovery planning will be considered a strong asset.
  • Hold a Bachelor and postgraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Law or similar areas. Possession of a professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CFA, FRM, PRM) will be appreciated.
  • Are fluent in English language.
  • Have excellent skills in Word, Excel and Power Point processing.
  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, collaborative spirit, agility and can-do attitude.
  • Have strong presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions through concise and clear messaging.
  • Are self-driven and motivated with an ability to work towards deadlines, strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize.
