Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Regulatory Framework & Project Officer to join Group Credit Control, within Group Risk.
In this role, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of regulatory frameworks, with a focus on BCBS 239 principles, data governance, and internal policy development. Operating within the 2nd Line of Defense, you will support the establishment of robust governance frameworks, provide independent oversight, and collaborate with stakeholders across Group Risk and the wider Bank to ensure alignment with regulatory expectations and strategic objectives.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Lead and coordinate projects and initiatives within Group Credit Control, collaborating with stakeholders across Group Risk and the wider Bank, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and high-quality delivery.
- Contribute to the application, continuous enhancement, and compliance with the BCBS 239 framework, including oversight of risk data aggregation, reporting, and related control principles.
- Support the ownership, maintenance, and continuous enhancement of the End-User Computing (EUC) Policy and Framework, including standards, templates, management information, and stakeholder awareness.
- Contribute to the definition, standardization, and governance of risk data elements across Group Risk, including the development of data dictionaries and business glossaries.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal policies and governance frameworks and collaborate with stakeholders to translate regulatory and business requirements into practical, scalable solutions.
You will be a great candidate if you:
- Have 5–10 years of relevant experience in banking, consulting, or financial services, with exposure to credit risk and/or broader risk, regulatory frameworks, or transformation/project initiatives.
- Possess good understanding of BCBS 239, data governance, or risk data aggregation/reporting principles.
- Have proven experience in project management and cross-functional coordination (certification such as PMP/Prince2 is a plus).
- Are experienced in policy writing, governance frameworks, and regulatory documentation.
- Have exposure to data definition, data dictionary creation, or data governance initiatives (highly valued).
- Have exposure to reporting or data monitoring projects (considered a strong plus).
- Exposure to EUC frameworks, policy governance, or control environments will be considered an asset.
- Familiarity with AI tools and prompting techniques (e.g., using AI for drafting, analysis, or workflow efficiency) will be considered an asset.
- Hold a Bachelor’s and/or postgraduate degree in Finance, Business, Data, or a related quantitative field.
- Are proficient in MS Office tools (advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills expected).
- Are fluent in English.
- Experience with programming in any language will be considered an asset, but is not required.
- Demonstrate a proactive mindset, with the ability to drive change, solve complex problems, and deliver practical solutions in a dynamic environment.
- Exhibit strong analytical thinking, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively within Group Risk structures.
