Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst to join our Group Financial Analysis & Profitability Reporting (Segments Performance Unit), part of Group Financial Analysis, Planning & Regulatory Reporting within Group Finance.
By joining this role, you will be part of a team responsible for providing financial and business profitability information regarding the Group’s operating results and other performance measurements to Management, Business Units, and various entities across the Group. The Unit plays a key role in the identification, presentation, and interpretation of financial results, supporting strategy formulation, planning activities, performance monitoring, and decision-making.
As a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst, you will acquire extensive knowledge in financial and profitability analysis across Business Units, customer segments, and products. The role offers significant exposure to various Group functions, providing an in-depth understanding of the Bank’s business model, financial performance, and key value drivers.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Participate in the preparation and analysis of the Group’s segment performance reporting, providing information and insights to Management, Business Unit Heads, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and analyze IFRS and management profitability results across Business Units, customer segments, and products.
- Perform reconciliations, validate financial information, and ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of reporting outputs, identifying and escalating issues where appropriate.
- Explore and implement reporting enhancements, automation opportunities, and best practices to improve reporting quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with Business Units and various Group entities to ensure accurate reporting, data consistency, and alignment with business objectives.
- Support the preparation of Interim and Annual Reports, as well as ad hoc management, regulatory, and business reporting requirements.
- Prepare and provide supporting documentation and analysis to auditors, Investor Relations, and other internal or external stakeholders.
- Evaluate business needs and identify reporting risks, process inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement, including reporting upgrades, automation initiatives, and enhanced reconciliation procedures.
You will be a great candidate if you:
- Have at least 4 years of experience in financial reporting, management reporting, profitability analysis, or related financial analysis roles.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. Postgraduate studies and/or professional certifications will be considered an asset.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of accounting principles, profitability analysis, management reporting, and financial performance measurement.
- Have experience working with financial systems and reporting tools such as Altamira, Midland, SAP, Oracle, and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
- Possess advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency in Power BI, Word, and PowerPoint, with experience managing large datasets and performing advanced numerical analysis.
- Demonstrate strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to manage extensive data while meeting demanding deadlines.
- Exhibit strong problem-solving, accountability, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, combined with a results-oriented mindset.
- Are fluent in Greek and English.
