Position Overview

 

We are seeking for a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting, Group Accounting Policy & Financial Reporting, Group Finance.

 

By joining this role, you’ll be part of Accounting, in a position that offers an opportunity for interaction and exposure with various Group’s areas thereafter provides in depth understanding of the Bank’s business and performance. Additionally, the job holder will be able to acquire extensive knowledge on the area of Accounting, on a Business Unit and product basis.

 

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Receive, record & reconcile various accounting events from various business areas.
  • Ensure that accounting events are properly recorded and classified according to International Financial Reporting Standards and Greek/Tax Standards.
  • Participate in the determination of the accounting treatment and in relevant User Acceptance Tests (UAT) for new products, improvements/amendments in existing products. 
  • Prepare various reports and submit them to units within Group Finance, to external partners, as well as to external auditors.
  • Ensure that accounting events are properly recorded and classified according to myData
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze data and drive process improvements

 

You will be a great candidate if you:

  • Have minimum 5 years experience in the area of Accounting.
  • Hold a Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration. Postgraduate studies or Professional Certification (ACCA, or similar qualification) will be considered as an additional asset.
  • Have advanced computer literacy (Excel, Word).
  • Have good Knowledge of 1. International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and 2. SAP accounting system.
  • Are fluent in English.
  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, collaborative spirit, agility, and can-do attitude.
