Position Overview
We are seeking a Sales Officer to join our Corporate and Shipping Coverage within the Markets Sales Team.
As a Sales Officer, you will work closely with sophisticated Corporate and Shipping clients, developing a deep understanding of their business, financial exposures and objectives. You will act as a trusted point of contact for their Global Markets needs, providing market insights, hedging strategies and tailored solutions across a broad range of asset classes and products.
The role offers extensive exposure to Global Markets, including FX, Interest Rates, Commodities, Fixed Income, Deposits and structured hedging and investment solutions, covering both the Asset and Liability side of our clients’ balance sheets.
Beyond technical knowledge, this is first and foremost a client-facing role. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, commercial awareness and the ability to build trusted, long-term relationships are essential. You will be expected to maintain frequent interaction with clients — including regular client visits — to understand their evolving needs, identify opportunities, propose relevant risk management solutions and actively follow their exposures.
Upon joining our team, you will be expected to demonstrate proactiveness, critical thinking, team spirit, curiosity and an outgoing personality. Equally important will be your ability to put your soft skills into practice as part of our client-servicing culture.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with Corporate and Shipping clients, acting as a trusted Global Markets partner rather than simply a product salesperson.
- Understand clients’ businesses, exposures and financial objectives, translating them into relevant hedging, investment and liquidity solutions across both the Asset and Liability side.
- Maintain frequent and proactive communication with clients through market updates, tailored ideas, regular meetings and ongoing follow-up of their exposures and evolving needs.
- Cover the full spectrum of Global Markets products, including FX, Interest Rates, Commodities, Fixed Income, Deposits and structured solutions, from pricing and structuring through to execution.
- Work closely with Trading, Structuring and other internal stakeholders, combining market expertise and commercial thinking to deliver effective and tailored solutions.
- Embrace AI and digital tools to enhance market intelligence, client preparation, idea generation and day-to-day productivity, actively contributing to the continuous transformation of our Sales approach.
You will be a great candidate if you:
- Have 3 or more years of relevant professional experience within the Treasury/Markets function of a Financial Institution or a large corporate, with a good understanding of financial markets, risk management products and hedging strategies.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, genuinely enjoy interacting with clients and can translate complex market concepts into clear and commercially relevant solutions.
- Hold a Bachelor’s and preferably a Master’s degree in Finance, Business or a quantitative field, together with an Investment Advisory certification (Type B from the Bank of Greece or equivalent).
- Are proactive, curious and commercially minded, comfortable taking initiative, thinking outside the box and delivering high-impact results.
- Are a reliable, self-motivated team player, able to collaborate effectively, take ownership and mentor junior colleagues in their professional development.
- Have an excellent command of Greek and English, both written and spoken, and strong digital skills, including proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and modern AI tools. Are digitally literate and keen to actively support our Sales Transformation strategy and the adoption of new digital tools and ways of working.
- Learn & self-improve with every opportunity.
- Build mutually beneficial relationships when interacting with clients and colleagues.
- Develop new solutions while minimising unnecessary complexity.
- Earn and maintain the trust of clients and colleagues.
What’s in it for you:
- Competitive remuneration.
- Hybrid work: work-life balance through remote and in-office work.
- Learning & Development:
-
- Access Unlimited LinkedIn Learnings, international training methodologies
- Upskilling, Professional development and career guidance from successful executives.
- Identification and Utilization of Talent Pool through a structured Talent Management process.
- Wellbeing:
-
- Premium Health & Life insurance for you, your partner and/or your family and mental health support.
- Pension plan to support your plans and future financial expectations.
- Team building & wellbeing activities.
- Potential Extra days of annual leave (Winter Bonus).
- Engage in volunteering activities through our TeamUp program.
- Extra Benefits:
-
- Exclusive discounts at partner stores.
- Staff pricing for banking products.
- Nursery and summer camp allowance for your little ones.
