Position Overview

We are seeking for a Relationship Manager to join our M&A & Sponsors Financing team, part of our Structured Finance operations within Corporate and Investment Banking.

 

The M&A Unit specializes in structuring, arranging and financing complex M&A and Leverage Finance projects including LBOs, pre IPO financing and structured finance solutions.

 

As a Relationship Manager you will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, structuring, preparing for credit approval, coordinating due diligence process and coordinating/ leading to closing all kind of transactions with multiple involved parties externally and internally, as well as seek for further business expansion/ origination by leveraging on your relationship with the market.

 

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Review projects’ business plans and be able to understand key assumptions/ rationale of such assumptions and also be able to summarize for reporting purposes internally.
  • Analyse the project from a credit perspective, including key risks identification and propose relative risk mitigation measures.
  • Review and/ or set-up of financial models in detail reflecting projects’ economics and be able to run sensitivity analysis.
  • Compile detailed Term Sheets reflecting customized financial structure per project, be able to negotiate with the client, make decisions and update the Term Sheet to achieve final agreement.
  • Draft presentations to pre-screen transactions with management and also draft credit approval applications to ensure relevant credit approvals from the Bank’s credit approving bodies.
  • Coordinate debt arrangement process for bilateral or syndicated debt facilities, which among others, includes: (a) coordination of due diligence process in liaison with specialized advisers engaged per case, (b) internal coordination of agency, legal and other teams, (c) review and negotiation of full legal documentation (finance and project documents) and (d) (in case of syndicated deals) handle relationship/ coordination and process with other potential lenders.
  • Monitor the project’s and/or Borrower’s performance post financial closing, also with respect to compliance with restrictions/ covenants agreed by means of legal documentation and address any day-to-day requirements of the client as well as internally.
  • Closely follow up clients’ business targeting at addressing their needs and originating new business and be pro-active.
  • Negotiate and make proposals with respect to all the available ancillary products that the Bank can offer.
  • Monitor market developments of the sector to be fully up to speed and adjust approach where necessary as well as target new customers within the context of expanding the Unit’s Loan Portfolio.

 

You will be a great candidate if you:

  • Have 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Have a Bachelor and postgraduate degrees in Finance, Business Administration or other quantitative field of study.
  • Have ACCA or CFA or similar completed or in progress will be considered an asset.
  • Have understanding and interest in debt finance structures and principles, incl. related commercial, legal, technical, debt and tax issues, be familiar with risks’ analysis and allocation and have very good understanding of ratios and other metrics, including sensitivity analysis.
  • Have advanced analytical and conceptual skills and be eager to follow market developments and trends.
  • Are Proficient of the MS Office suite.
  • Are fluent in English (both in writing and verbally).
  • Have strong interpersonal, communication (with clients and colleagues), and negotiation skills, collaborative spirit, agility and can-do attitude.
