Position Overview
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and analytical Portfolio Quality Analyst to join our Business Improvement & Products team, within our Retail Business Banking division.
By joining this role, you’ll be part of the team responsible for monitoring the Small Business Banking portfolio, identifying emerging risks, supporting early‑warning processes, and contributing to initiatives that safeguard and enhance portfolio quality.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Portfolio Monitoring & Insights: Perform ongoing analysis of the Small Business (SB) lending portfolio, identifying performance trends, risks, and opportunities, and preparing clear, management‑level insights.
- Early Warning & Risk Identification: Support the monitoring of early‑warning systems (EWS & UTP), track underperforming exposures, and assist in coordinating remediation actions to ensure timely follow‑up.
- Process & Portfolio Support: Assist in the execution of actions related to renewal of expired revolving portfolios—particularly LSB exposures—and contribute to improvements in credit processes and controls.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Risk, Credit, Sales Network, Organization, IT, and other internal units to ensure accurate reporting, effective implementation of portfolio quality initiatives, and alignment with business needs.
- Reporting & Compliance: Prepare regular and ad‑hoc portfolio reports, ensuring high‑quality analysis and compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and risk frameworks.
You will be a great candidate if you:
- Have 2–4 years of experience in credit risk, small business lending, portfolio analysis, or a related banking or financial role.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in in Finance, Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field; postgraduate studies will be considered a plus.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel (knowledge of data tools such as SQL, Power BI, SAS is a plus).
- Possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights for different stakeholders.
- Are detail‑oriented, proactive, able to multitask, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
