Position Overview
We are seeking a talented, goal-oriented individual, with solid knowledge of Finance/Accounting, to join our Markets Reporting & Accounting Services team within Eurobank’s Markets & Funds Operations. As a member of the Markets Reporting & Accounting Services team, you will be mainly responsible to support accurate accounting, reconciliation, and financial reporting of treasury activities and ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Perform daily and monthly monitoring and reconciliation of the Bank’s balance sheet and profit & loss accounts related to Markets & Treasury transactions, including investigation and timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Ensure accurate accounting treatment of Markets & Treasury transactions in accordance with IFRS, including the application and monitoring of hedge accounting where applicable.
- Prepare and review daily and monthly P&L reporting and reconciliations for Markets & Treasury activities, analyzed by desk, product, and P&L category (e.g. Net Interest Income, Net Trading Income, fees and commissions).
- Produce and analyze periodic management and financial reports related to Markets & Treasury balance sheet and P&L positions, including supporting schedules and disclosures for statutory financial statements.
- Contribute to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes related to Markets & Treasury activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to reporting timelines.
- Participate in projects related to the implementation of new Markets & Treasury products, systems, or reports, as well as changes in accounting or reporting policies, including preparation of accounting specifications, impact analysis, and execution of user acceptance testing (UAT).
You will be a great candidate if you:
- Hold a Bachelor and/or postgraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field of study.
- At least 3 years of experience in treasury products accounting, related financial and regulatory reporting.
- Have a solid understanding of Treasury Products (Bonds, Repos, OTC Derivatives etc.), IFRS accounting and experience with hedge accounting.
- Professional qualification or progress toward ACCA or similar.
- Are Proficient of the MS Office suite, with emphasis on MS Excel.
- Are fluent in English language (both in writing and verbally).
- Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Have high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Have ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, collaborative spirit, agility, and can-do attitude.
