Position Overview

 

We are seeking for an inspired Market Making Trader to join Eurobank Equities. By joining this role, you’ll be part of the market making / prop trading team responsible for actively trading equity and equity derivatives products locally and internationally.

As a Junior Trader, your primary role will be to support the market making desk, ensure continuous and efficient liquidity provision, monitor real-time risk exposures, and help the desk optimize its execution strategies. The candidates must be highly motivated, analytical, and driven individuals with excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to thrive under pressure.

 

Your key responsibilities will be:

 

  • Monitor and manage real-time electronic market making quotes across cash equity and derivative products to ensure continuous market presence
  • Manage intraday trading positions, inventory, and overnight execution risks within prescribed limits under senior supervision
  • Analyze market data, order flow, and trading performance to identify optimization opportunities for spreads and quoting parameters
  • Understand the day-to-day operational and regulatory issues that our business faces
  • Collaborate closely with the Quantitative Analyst/Developer team to test, refine, and deploy automated trading tools and algorithmic strategies
  • Ensure strict compliance with exchange rules, internal risk policies, and regulatory frameworks

 

You will be a great candidate if you have:

 

  • 1-3 years of experience or internship in financial markets, trading desks, or risk management
  • BSc and/or MSc in a quantitative or financial field such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or Computer Science from an accredited institution
  • Basic exposure to programming languages, preferably Python or SQL, for data manipulation and analysis
  • Solid fundamental understanding of equity derivatives pricing models (options and futures)
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and quick mental arithmetic skills
  • Strong written & verbal communication in both Greek and English
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic and collaborative multi-cultural environment
