Position Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable IT Infrastructure Domain Architect to join our Group IT.
By joining this role, you’ll be part of the Group IT Operations & Infrastructure and will be participating in designing, analyzing & delivering our infrastructure solutions by, architecting & delivering modern technologies, embedding security best practices in every implementation, maintaining the uninterrupted operations of our banking services & platforms, either hosted in our own datacenters premises or on public cloud providers.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Contribute to the design and implementation of IT infrastructure solutions across on-premises and cloud environments, leveraging technologies such as operating systems, virtualization, networking, databases, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS/GCP), security, and containerization (OpenShift/Kubernetes)
- Collaborating with Group IT Security, International IT and diverse Group IT teams for the implementation of new or existing technologies, policies and procedures, ensuring IT systems availability and contributing to relevant initiatives
- Ensuring infrastructure and operational services adhere to agreed-upon security and service levels, contributing to the effectiveness of security implementations
- Conveying IT infrastructure architecture principles on coordinating complex cross-functional IT projects with large teams that will work with
You will be a great candidate if you have:
- At least 2-3 years of relevant professional experience within an established organization in Technology, Financial Services or Consulting industries; Comfortable communicating technical topics to different stakeholder groups
- Bachelor’s degree or higher level of education in Technology/Engineering or relevant fields of study
- Experience supporting enterprise application server environments (such as IIS, JBoss, WebLogic or Apache Tomcat) and working with enterprise application architectures (2Tier/3Tier Applications)
- Strong knowledge of Windows & Linux Operating Systems
- Good Knowledge of Hypervisors standards (VMWare/Hyper-V)
- Exposure to infrastructure architecture design principles
- Knowledge of RDBMs (SQL, Oracle, MySQL etc.) and connectivity between Application and Database
- Good understanding on networking services (Firewall, Load Balancing, Routing)
- Experience collaborating across technical teams and coordinating technical activities
- Fluency in Greek and English languages
In addition, good working knowledge of below areas will be considered a strong plus:
- System coding and scripting for administration purposes, like python, perl, go etc.
- Java scripting & Rest API knowledge.
- Usage of Support ticketing tools like Jira, Servicenow, etc.
- Good knowledge of cloud services like MS Azure, Amazon, IBM Bluemix etc
- Administering and configuring container distributing platforms like Docker and container orchestration systems like Kubernetes.
