Position Overview

We are seeking an IT Infrastructure Automation & Reliability Architect to join Group IT Operations & Infrastructure, with a clear focus on Ansible-based infrastructure automation, platform reliability, monitoring and standardization.

The role supports the Infrastructure Automation initiative, with Ansible / Red Hat as the primary automation platform, and acts as a coordination point between internal infrastructure teams and integrators to support consistent automation and reliability-driven initiatives.

The position combines practical infrastructure understanding, an automation mindset and the ability to coordinate activities across enterprise environments, supporting stable and well-controlled infrastructure platforms.

Your key responsibilities will be:

Ansible Automation & Operational Reliability

• Contribute to the Infrastructure Automation program across core platforms, with particular emphasis on Ansible automation and the consistent use of reusable playbooks, roles and workflows
• Use Ansible automation to improve consistency, stability and operational efficiency across infrastructure services
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams involved in Ansible automation, monitoring and infrastructure operations
• Promote common Ansible standards, reusable automation and repeatable infrastructure practices

Infrastructure & Platform Engineering

• Working knowledge of common enterprise infrastructure environments, such as:
• Linux / Red Hat and Windows operating systems
• Virtualization environments such as VMware and Hyper-V
• Common application platforms such as IIS, JBoss, WebLogic, Apache and Tomcat
• Basic awareness of container platforms such as OpenShift and Kubernetes
• Basic networking concepts, including firewalls, load balancing and routing
• General awareness of databases and application-to-database connectivity
• Ability to understand the main dependencies between infrastructure components
• Support the alignment of infrastructure solutions with security, availability and operational needs
• Exposure to both on-premises and cloud-based environments

Automation, Engineering Practices & Collaboration

• General awareness of DevOps and Infrastructure as Code concepts
• Ability to collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams so that infrastructure automation supports platform and operational needs
• Support the review and improvement of automation approaches together with the relevant delivery teams
• Contribute to shared automation practices across internal teams and integrators

Coordination & Technical Alignment

• Support technical alignment across infrastructure domains
• Understand which teams, vendors or stakeholders need to be involved for each initiative
• Coordinate technical activities across Infrastructure, Security, Monitoring and Operations teams
• Help translate high-level requirements into clear technical actions for delivery teams
• Ensure shared understanding of scope, dependencies and operational impact

You will be a great candidate if you:

• Have hands-on experience with Ansible in infrastructure automation initiatives, ideally across on-premises and cloud environments
• Hold a BSc Degree in IT or related field
• Have familiarity with enterprise infrastructure environments across on-premises and cloud-based platforms
• Have experience contributing to automation practices, reusable content or common standards across infrastructure platforms
• Have a working understanding of the infrastructure technologies described above and how automation supports them
• Have excellent command of English and Greek (both in writing and verbally)
• Have experience working with external vendors, integrators and internal technical teams within complex enterprise environments
• Be able to work across technical, operational and coordination activities and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
