Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Automation & Reliability Architect to join Group IT Operations & Infrastructure, with strong focus on infrastructure automation, platform reliability, monitoring and standardization.

The role supports the Infrastructure Automation initiative (Ansible / Red Hat) & acts as a coordination point between internal infrastructure teams and integrators, supporting the consistent execution of infrastructure automation and reliability‑driven initiatives.

The position combines deep infrastructure understanding, automation mindset, and the ability to navigate and coordinate complex enterprise environments, ensuring stable, scalable and well‑controlled infrastructure platforms.

Your key responsibilities will be:

Infrastructure Automation & Operational Reliability

• Contribute to the Infrastructure Automation program across core infrastructure platforms, ensuring automation approaches are consistently applied and aligned with platform standards
• Apply automation to improve consistency, stability and operational efficiency across infrastructure services
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams involved in automation, monitoring and infrastructure operations
• Promote standardization and repeatable infrastructure practices

Infrastructure & Platform Engineering

• Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure platforms, including:
• Operating Systems (Linux / Red Hat, Windows environments)
• Virtualization platforms (VMware / Hyper‑V)
• Application platforms (IIS, JBoss, WebLogic, Apache, Tomcat)
• Container platforms (OpenShift / Kubernetes)
• Networking fundamentals (Firewalling, Load Balancing, Routing)
• Databases and application‑to‑database connectivity patterns
• Ability to understand how infrastructure components interact as end‑to‑end platforms
• Ensure infrastructure solutions align with security, availability and operational requirements
• Support both on‑premises and cloud‑based environments

Automation, DevOps & Infrastructure as Code (Collaboration Scope)

• Solid understanding of DevOps principles and Infrastructure as Code concepts
• Ability to work alongside DevOps and engineering teams, ensuring infrastructure automation aligns with platform and operational needs
• Review, guide and validate automation approaches rather than acting as the primary DevOps implementer
• Deep DevOps expertise, acting as a technical leader who defines, steers and governs DevOps and automation practices across teams and integrators

Coordination & Technical Alignment

• Act as a technical point of alignment across infrastructure domains
• Understand which teams, vendors or stakeholders need to be involved for each initiative
• Coordinate technical activities across Infrastructure, Security, Monitoring and Operations teams
• Translate high‑level requirements into clear technical direction that can be executed by delivery teams
• Ensure shared understanding of scope, dependencies and operational impact

You will be a great candidate if you:

• Have at least 3 years hands‑on experience in infrastructure automation initiatives, applied across large‑scale on‑premise and cloud infrastructures
• Hold a BSc Degree in IT or related field
• Have strong background in enterprise infrastructure environments, covering both on‑premise and cloud‑based platforms
• Demonstrated ability to design, apply and evolve automation frameworks and standards across heterogeneous infrastructure platforms
• Have deep understanding of the infrastructure technologies described above and how automation is applied end‑to‑end across platforms
• Have excellent command of English and Greek (both in writing and verbally)
• Have experience working with external vendors, integrators and internal technical teams within complex enterprise environments
• Have the ability to operate effectively across technical, operational and coordination layers, ensuring automation initiatives are aligned and sustainable & to communicate with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
