Position Overview
We are seeking an IFRS Senior Technical Advisor to join our Group Accounting Policy part of Group Financial Control & Reporting, Policies, Strategic Transactions & Coordination.
As an IFRS Senior Technical Advisor, you will have the opportunity to obtain an in-depth knowledge of IFRSs and strong understanding of the Group’s operations by participating in the implementation of IFRSs, providing technical guidance and support on the Group’s complex accounting matters and various products.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Provide expert interpretations of IFRSs and monitor standards’ update.
- Develop and maintain the Group’s accounting policies.
- Determine the IFRS accounting treatment on the Group’s complex transactions and products introduced and prepare, accordingly, technical memos and accounting papers.
- Prepare and review a range of disclosures in the context of the Group’s financial statements preparation, ensuring compliance with the Group’s accounting policies.
- Consult with a wide range of subject matter experts, external stakeholders from industry and accounting/regulatory setting bodies as well as external auditors.
You will be a great candidate if you:
- Have at least 5 years’ experience, in the area of financial reporting and/or auditing
- Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting framework
- Hold a degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
- Postgraduate studies or Professional Certification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA, IESOL) will be considered as an additional asset
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to manage multi projects effectively.
- Are fluent in English and Greek language.
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, collaborative spirit, agility, and can-do attitude.
