Position Overview

 

We are seeking a talented and goal-oriented professional with strong expertise in Custody Operations to join our team as a Head of Foreign Markets Settlements.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of the Foreign Markets Settlements Unit, ensuring the accurate and timely execution of operational activities, while driving efficiency, control, and continuous improvement in line with the Bank’s procedures and regulatory framework.

 

You will lead a team of approximately 10 professionals and collaborate closely with Securities Services, Private Banking, Eurobank Group Subsidiaries, and other internal units. The role involves the provision of high-quality custody and settlement services to Institutional Clients, Mutual Fund Management Companies, Insurance Companies, Investment Firms, and the Bank’s broader client base.

 

Your key responsibilities will be: 

 

  • Oversee the Unit’s daily operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, service excellence, and compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise custody and settlement activities across global markets, maintaining effective relationships with sub-custodians and counterparties and resolving operational issues promptly.
  • Ensure the timely and professional handling of client requests, complaints, and all operational matters within the Unit’s responsibility.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, represent the Unit in projects and strategic initiatives, and drive process improvements through automation and best practices.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop team members while fostering a strong culture of accountability, continuous learning, risk management, and high performance 

 

You will be a great candidate if you:

 

  • Hold a Bachelor and/or postgraduate degree in in Finance, Economics, or a related field of study.
  • Have at least 7 years of working experience in Custody Operations and 3-5 years’ relevant professional experience in a managerial role.
  • Are Proficient of the MS Office suite, with emphasis on MS Excel, and familiar with the use of new technologies GEN-AI, Robotics etc.
  • Are fluent in English language.
  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, collaborative spirit, agility, and solution oriented mindset.
