Position Overview 

We are seeking for a dynamic Data Governance Analyst to join our Data Governance Unit, within our Group IT. By joining this role, you’ll be part of the Data Governance Unit and you will be responsible for data-related analysis and coordination across all prioritized data domains, working closely with Business and IT units and participating in important data related projects.

 

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Actively participate in Data Governance deployment through the identification of critical data elements and the preparation of data dictionaries, in collaboration with business data owners.
  • Design data quality checks and metrics, assess data quality results, analyze root causes of issues and identify quality improvements.
  • Support the implementation of data related projects (monitor project plans, prepare presentations, etc.).
  • Act as a liaison between Business and IT units to perform business analysis and understand functional requirements.
  • Support the Head of the Unit in the preparation of reports or presentations for the senior management and assist in communications during internal and external audits.

 

You will be a great candidate if you:

  • Have 1–3 years of professional experience within the Banking sector, Consulting, or another relevant field. Specific experience in data governance and/or data quality management will be considered a strong asset. Exposure to risk management processes, risk data aggregation, or risk reporting (BCBS 239) is also desirable.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Business or a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Have excellent command of spoken and written English and Greek, and the ability to write clear and concise reports for senior management audiences.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Have attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective time management.
  • Have experience with data analysis and knowledge of SQL, with a commitment to the ethical use of data.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, collaborative spirit, and a “can-do” attitude.
  • Are proficient in using MS Office, with advanced skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
