Position Overview

We are looking for a Cyber Security Architect to join our SOC Team. In this role, you will implement security strategies, design and deliver modern technologies, and apply security best practices. You will also ensure the continuous operation of banking services and platforms, whether hosted in data centers or on public clouds.

 

As a Cyber Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced security technologies. Your tasks will include maintaining the security operations of banking services and leading the implementation of security technologies to enhance security frameworks. You will work with the Group IT Security and Group IT teams to implement new technologies, security policies, and procedures. Additionally, you will conduct detailed threat modeling, risk assessments, and security impact analysis on new projects.
 

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Design end-to-end security architectures for new systems, applications, and technology implementations across retail, corporate, and digital banking services.
  • Collaborate closely with enterprise architects, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders to ensure secure-by-design principles are integrated into solution planning and development.
  • Ensure that infrastructure and operational services comply with established security and service levels, while monitoring the performance and effectiveness of security measures.
  • Stay current with emerging threats and trends, adapting architecture and design strategies accordingly.
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate security technologies and tools (e.g., encryption, identity & access management, endpoint protection, SIEM).
  • Support secure cloud adoption strategies and hybrid infrastructure designs, ensuring alignment with internal policies and external compliance standards.
  • Guide security integration for digital banking platforms, APIs, mobile apps, and core banking systems.
  • Create and maintain architectural documentation, playbooks, and governance materials.
     

You will be a great candidate if you:

  • Have more than 5 years of experience in cyber security roles, with at least 3 years as a Security Architect or equivalent.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of Cyber Defense and experience in complex cross-functional IT Security projects with large teams.
  • Strong experience in financial services or banking environments would be a plus.
  • Familiarity with banking-specific compliance and regulatory standards (e.g., PCI DSS, SWIFT CSP, DORA, PSD2).
  • Relevant certifications preferred: CISSP, CISM, SABSA.
  • Deep knowledge of secure architecture patterns, network security, and secure SDLC practices.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises infrastructure.
  • Fluent in Greek and English languages.
  • Able to build confidence in team members.
