Position Overview
We are seeking for an experienced Corporate Credit Risk Analyst to join our Corporate Credit within our Risk Unit. By joining this role, you will become part of the Corporate Credit team, responsible for underwriting financing proposals towards corporate clients. The role focuses on ensuring that the Bank’s credit exposure is appropriately sized and structured following the assessment of the counterparty’s repayment capacity and the application of effective credit risk mitigation strategies. The role supports the maintenance of asset quality, the achievement of sustainable profitability, and the protection of the Bank’s capital base. Moreover, you will also act as a liaison between our Business and Risk Units for all issues related to the credit underwriting process.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of corporate financial statements and assess creditworthiness of clients.
- Perform ratio analysis, trend evaluation, and cash flow assessments, including forward-looking financial projections.
- Develop independent credit risk opinions in line with the Bank’s credit policy and Corporate Credit guidelines.
- Prepare comprehensive credit memos with findings and recommendations for submission to Credit Committees.
- Participate in internal projects, including audits, regulatory reviews, and the development of operational guidelines.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of underwriting standards, tools, and methodologies.
You will be a great candidate if you:
- Have minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience
- Hold a Bachelor’s and a postgraduate degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Possess proven experience in Credit Analysis and Risk Mitigation
- Demonstrate strong communication, influencing, and presentation skills
- Have an excellent command of English and Greek (both oral and written)
- Are proficient in MS Office Suite
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative spirit, agility, and a can-do attitude
