Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated professional to join the Corporate Governance Unit within the Group Company Secretariat.
As a member of the team, you will actively contribute to the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of Eurobank’s corporate governance framework, ensuring the Bank’s compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, and supervisory requirements, as well as alignment with international corporate governance best practices.
This role offers the opportunity to engage in a broad range of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and institutional matters, working closely with the Board of Directors, Senior Management, supervisory authorities, and business units across the Group.
In addition, the position provides the opportunity to participate in strategic corporate governance initiatives and projects that support the ongoing development and strengthening of the Bank’s governance framework.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Coordinate and oversee the preparation of supervisory and regulatory reports for the European Central Bank (ECB), the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM), the Bank of Greece, the Hellenic Capital Market Commission, and other competent authorities.
- Develop and ensure the accuracy of corporate governance and regulatory disclosures for the Bank’s Financial Statements, Annual Report, and other official publications.
- Track and assess developments in the legal, regulatory, and supervisory framework and their impact on the Bank’s corporate governance framework.
- Contribute to shaping and maintaining corporate governance policies, Terms of Reference, and related governance documentation.
- Facilitate and coordinate corporate actions, regulatory disclosures, and corporate compliance matters.
- Contribute to the effective operation of the Related Party Transactions Framework and associated processes.
- Ensure the accuracy and ongoing maintenance of corporate and regulatory information relating to the Bank and the Group.
- Advise and support Bank units and Group subsidiaries on corporate governance matters.
- Take part in corporate governance projects, regulatory initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.
- Build effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including supervisory authorities, on corporate governance-related matters.
You will be a great candidate if you:
- Have at least 4 years of professional experience in Corporate Governance, Regulatory Compliance, Company Secretariat, Legal Services, Regulatory Reporting, or a related field, preferably within the financial services sector.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related discipline. A relevant postgraduate degree will be considered an advantage.
- Strong understanding of banking regulations, corporate law, and corporate governance principles.
- Familiarity with the regulatory framework applicable to credit institutions and listed companies.
- Previous experience in regulatory reporting and engagement with supervisory or regulatory authorities will be considered a strong asset.
- Hands-on experience in drafting disclosures for financial statements, annual reports, or prospectuses will be highly desirable.
- Have excellent written and spoken English, together with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly and concisely.
- Are proficient in the MS Office suite.
- Have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Have excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact effectively across different management levels.
- Have high level of professionalism, integrity, and absolute discretion in handling confidential information.
