Position Overview
We are seeking for a Corporate Credit Analyst to join our Corporate Credit Analysis (CCA) Team, within Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB).
By joining this role, you will be part of CCA’s team which is responsible for supporting wholesale banking credit application preparation for Large Corporate and Commercial Banking performing clients. As such, CCA delivers high quality financial analysis aiming to form a firm and independent view of the client’s creditworthiness and the inherent credit risks of the transaction, while optimising credit process efficiency in coordination with the Bank’s Credit Operations. The CCA team is split into two geographical sub-teams i.e., CCA South Greece (located in Athens) and CCA North Greece (located in Thessaloniki). The successful candidate will be based in Athens.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Collaborating with the Relationship Managers (RMs) to review credit commitments for the Bank's corporate customers (existing and prospect clients) and assess their credit standing (including the proposal of credit rating using the Bank’s internal system)
- Delivering a complete counterparty credit risk analysis, within deadlines, based on facts and acting in full compliance with Eurobank’s policies and procedures.
- Providing advice on structuring transactions and mitigating credit risks
- Participating in client visits with CIB’s senior management, when required
- Making ad hoc presentations to the appropriate committees and management
- Tracking developments and monitor specific sectors / industries, gain expertise, and conducting internal reports relevant to the mapping of various industries as well as their prospects
- Participating in ad hoc cross-functional working groups
You will be a great candidate if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a quantitative field of study; a postgraduate degree will be highly appreciated
- Experience in credit evaluation (will be considered as a plus)
- Very good command of the Greek and English language, both written and oral
- Solid knowledge of MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Power-Point)
- Good analytical and conceptual skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, collaborative spirit, agility, and can-do attitude
