Corporate Credit Risk Analyst

We are seeking for an enthusiastic Corporate Credit Risk Analyst to add value by acting as a second line of defense in the approval process of exposures towards existing and prospect Corporate clients.

The successful candidate will report to a Team Leader of Corporate Credit Risk and shall work closely with various teams across the Bank (Business, Risk and others).


The Corporate Credit Risk Analyst of the Group Risk Management General Division mission is to safeguard the Bank’s asset side, by evaluating credit risk and making recommendations, so that the borrowers’ credit exposure is acceptable and within the approved Risk Appetite Framework.


Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Review credit commitments for the Bank's corporate customers (existing and prospect) and assess the customers’ credit standing.
  • Deliver an independent counterparty and credit risk opinion, within deadlines, based on facts and in line with the Bank’s guidelines.
  • Provide opinion on structuring transactions based on thorough understanding of borrower’s credit needs and business model via liaising with relationship managers and product specialists, aiming at mitigating credit risks.
  • Confirm an appropriate counterparty rating with adherence to the Bank’s policies.
  • Liaise with Senior Credit Managers to review operating framework and suggest improvements to existing processes, systems and products aiming at improving efficiency.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects (eg regulatory reviews of corporate portfolio).
  • Contribute to the preparation of the Division's regular reports.


You will be a great candidate for us if you:

  • Own a postgraduate degree in Finance or Business Administration or related subject.
  • Have professional Qualifications such as ACCA and/or CFA would be considered a strong advantage.
  • Have minimum three (3) years’ relevant professional experience in Financial Institution(s) or investment/consultancy firm(s) or financial audit firm(s).
  • Have direct experience in corporate lending and/or structured finance would be considered an asset.
  • Have solid financial statement / cash flow analysis and modelling skills, with good understanding of the economic drivers of various industries.
  • Have good understanding of financing solutions and products.
  • Have strong interpersonal, analytical & problem solving skills.
  • Have excellent command of English language (oral and written).
  • Have knowledge of standard computer software. Advanced knowledge of Excel and/or other financial modelling software would be an advantage.
