Position Overview

Are you passionate about cloud technology and data? We are seeking for a Cloud Data Platform Engineer to join our Information Management, AI & Analytics Platforms Unit, within our Group IT Applications Management.

By joining this role, you’ll be part of the Big Data Analytics team and play a key role in implementing and delivering cutting-edge cloud-based data projects. 

Your key responsibilities will be

• Design and deploy cloud-based data solutions that integrate diverse data sources and modernize legacy systems—optimizing on performance, cost-efficiency, and simplicity
• Architect and maintain azure data infrastructure including Databricks, Data Lake, Data Factory, and Azure Functions, supporting storage, processing, and analytics needs
• Design and maintain a modular orchestration framework for data pipelines—including scheduling, dependency management, monitoring, reconciliation and utilities—while driving the adoption of next-generation platform technologies
• Implement streaming ingestion capabilities for near real-time data processing
• Develop and maintain APIs using Azure Functions to enable seamless system integrations and data exchange between systems
• Establish Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments and advance DevOps practices
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, data-driven capabilities

You will be a great candidate if you:

• Possess 2+ years of professional experience in a similar role
• Have a strong technical background with a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Have hands-on experience in designing and managing data solutions and infrastructure, with a strong focus on Azure and Databricks ecosystems
• Demonstrate proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Scala, expertise in SQL, and hands-on experience with Apache Spark
• Have knowledge of data modeling, database design, and data warehousing principles
• Understand machine learning techniques and tools (considered a plus).
• Hold relevant certifications in leading cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS or GCP), which will be considered a strong advantage
• Are fluent in Greek and English, with excellent communication skills
• Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills, collaborative spirit, agility, and a can-do attitude
