Position Overview

As a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Eurobank Equities, you will be instrumental in safeguarding the company’s information assets and ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations within a highly regulated and dynamic investment environment. You will work closely with the executive team to define and communicate security and data privacy objectives, aligned with Eurobank Equities’ strategic goals. You will report directly to the Board of Directors and the CEO on strategic security and data privacy matters, while operational duties, such as security monitoring and incident management, will be coordinated with the CIO.

This is a partialy hands-on role, operating without a dedicated team, requiring strong individual accountability across a wide range of security and privacy tasks & technologies used in Eurobank Equities. 

 

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a robust information security and data privacy program, aligned with Eurobank Equities’ business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead cybersecurity governance, including the development and continuous improvement of policies, procedures, standards, and the Information Security Management System (ISMS).
  • Schedule, perform and oversee cybersecurity assessments on a periodic basis, to evaluate the appropriateness and effectiveness of the ISMS.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and contractual obligations, including DORA, NIS2, and relevant financial market regulations.
  • Develop cybersecurity KPIs to be reported to Senior Management, along with any identified cyber threats, business trends, and best practices.
  • Monitor security logs and alerts, supervise incident response, and manage vulnerabilities to safeguard against cyber threats.
  • Collaboarte with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent adherence to security and privacy standards.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, such as the Hellenic Capital Market Commission and the National Cybersecurity Authority, in cases of data breaches or audits.
  • Provide regular, transparent reports to the Board of Directors and Senior Management on the company’s information security and data privacy posture.
  • Promote a culture of security and data privacy awareness across all organizational levels.

 

You will be a great candidate if you:

  • Hold a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or data privacy roles, preferably within financial services, investment firms, or banking.
  • Have Fluency in Greek and English, with excellent communication skills to engage effectively with local teams, regulatory authorities, and international stakeholders.
  • Have Professional certifications in cybersecurity, information security, or data privacy, such as ISO 27001 LA, CISM, CISA, CRISC, CISSP, CDPSE, CIPP and CDPO, will be considered a plus.
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, high integrity and professionalism.
  • Are Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Have the ability to foster a security-conscious culture within a complex, fast-paced investment environment.
