Position Overview
We are seeking for a Senior Banking Regulation Officer to join the Resolution Planning & Banking Regulation Unit within our Supervisory Relations & Resolution Planning Unit.
The Resolution Planning & Banking Regulation Unit has a coordinating role for resolution planning projects and initiatives. It interacts with the Single Resolution Board (“SRB”), the European Central Bank (ECB) and the Bank of Greece (BoG). Additionally, the Unit provides support and advice to senior management with respect to regulatory issues, particularly large-scale, complex regulatory developments, in order for the Group to meet the regulatory requirements and deadlines.
By joining this role, you will be responsible for monitoring regulatory developments and providing insights to senior management regarding their impact on business and control functions.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Monitoring and analysis of key features and changes from new regulatory initiatives, and communicating them internally to determine applicability to Group’s activities
- Management of regulatory information requests by coordination of responses from all contributors; provision of guidance and regulatory context for regulatory requests; consolidation and checking of responses / submissions to facilitate consistency of messages and ensure they meet the regulatory expectations
- Contribution to the Group’s recovery and resolution planning activities
- Interaction with the ECB, SRB and BoG; participation in regulatory meetings and preparation of meeting notes / briefings and updates to senior management
- Coordination and/or drafting of Eurobank’s positions on regulatory topics
You will be a great candidate if you:
- Have at least 3 years of relevant professional experience in banks, consulting firms, regulatory authorities or in similar areas. Specific experience in the areas of banking regulation and recovery & resolution planning will be considered a strong asset.
- Hold a Bachelor and postgraduate degree in Law, Accounting, Finance, Business, or similar areas. Possession of a professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CFA, FRM, PRM) will be appreciated.
- Are fluent in English language.
- Have excellent skills in Word, Excel and Power Point processing.
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, collaborative spirit, agility and can-do attitude.
- Have strong presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions through concise and clear messaging.
- Are self-driven and motivated with an ability to work towards deadlines, strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize.
